WHIA can assist both professional and community organisations with a range of consultancy services.

Consultancy services to Professional Organisations may include:

  • Education and training for health professionals
  • Advice on the evidence and/or principles and practice wound management
  • Preparation of discussion papers on wounds and impact of wounds on the community
  • Assistance with or conduct of research or audits relating to wounds and wound management
  • Health promotion material on maintenance healthy skin and how to prevent wounds developing
  • A keynote or guest speaker to address a topic on skin conditions or diseases leading to a wound, wounds or wound management

The following consultancy services are available to Community Organisations:

  • Advice on the evidence and/or principles and practice wound management
  • Speaker engagements for the Organisations members on:
    • How to maintain healthy skin
    • Avoidance of common skin injuries
    • First aid management of simple wounds and burns
  • Development of health promotion material as requested e.g. how to avoid leg, foot and pressure injuries
